Social Media: UnitedHealth recently hired a defamation law firm to take on social media posts about their business practices that they claim are untrue and reckless. They also reached out to the SEC about a disparaging social media post made by billionaire Bill Ackman, after which their share price fell by 4.3%.

Programmatic:  Elon Musk’s X has signed a partnership with the adtech company Magnite, the latest in a string of deals it has signed with programmatic advertising firms. The number of companies advertising on X in 2024 has increased 15% year-over-year.

Television: Advertisers paid up to $8 million for a spot during Super Bowl 59, and some ad executives still consider the cost to be worth it. Based on last year’s audience, one ad during the big game equated to roughly 450 spots during primetime programming in terms of viewer engagement.
